Here at Privacy Australia, we believe in delivering honest, useful, and thought-provoking content to our awesome audience. Our job is to keep our fellow Australians informed about the latest internet privacy issues that may impact them.

Through our research and expertise, we compose VPN reviews and blog posts so that you can make knowledgeable decisions when it comes to selecting which tools are right for you. Whether you’re looking for a VPN for your home or work, Privacy Australia gives you the information you need to take control of your online privacy.

Here’s how we do it:

Content Ideation

Our editorial process begins with content ideation. Our Content Development Team gets together to brainstorm topic ideas that will be useful for our audience. We search for trending topics and emerging VPN solutions, and examine any breaking news within the industry.

Pitch

Once we have our definitive topic, we create a written pitch to submit to our Editorial Team. This pitch includes an outline of what information the content will include, how it will help our audience, and also key practicalities such as the intended word count and delivery dates of both the first and final draft. The pitch also makes it clear how the piece will fit into our overall content plan.

Research

We take a data-driven approach to reviewing VPNs and undertake rigorous research before writing every piece. We have a dedicated team of VPN experts who significantly contribute to the content across our site. These experts share their findings with the Content Development Team so they can incorporate their research findings and data into their content.

First Draft

Now it’s time for our wonderful writers to craft their first draft. They will use the research shared by our VPN experts, as well as research they conduct themselves. Depending on the purpose of the pieces, our content writers may also reach out to other professionals within the industry to discover answers to intriguing questions. They’ll also dig deeper into the topic to find out what our audience really wants to know.

Review

Our Editorial Team assigns each piece of content to a copyeditor to carefully review it. This task includes proofreading, fact-checking, and reviewing its structure. Our copyeditors also ensure content follows our style guide and adheres to our company’s tone of voice.

During the review process, the copyeditor will make changes and suggestions for improving the content. They ensure that the topic is covered fully and answers important questions. Additionally, they check that all sentences are clear, that they flow well, and that the writer’s choices of words are appropriate in their context.

Our copyeditors make sure that any research used from outside our organization is properly cited and credited. And finally, make sure that everything is properly optimized for search engines.

Revisions

At this stage, the content goes back to the writer to read and apply the copyeditor’s revisions and suggestions. The writer does a final proofing before scheduling it for publication.

Publication

The final step in our editorial process is publication. This could be on our website, blog, social media channels, or email communications. Oftentimes, we repurpose blog posts by crafting other mediums from the content, such as Facebook posts or newsletters that our audience has signed up to receive.

This might seem like a long process but every step is necessary to achieve high-quality, accurate, and error-free content. It’s truly a team effort!
